Samsung has started rolling out the February 2026 security update for the Galaxy Watch 8 & Watch 8 Classic smartwatches. The new software is based on One UI 8, and the firmware version is L330XXU2AZB1. The update package is approximately 424MB in size. It focuses on improving device security and overall system reliability, without introducing any new features.
The company appears to be prioritizing its Galaxy S26 launch schedule this week, which may have slightly delayed updates for other devices. However, the company has now pushed a new update for the Galaxy Watch 8 series.
The update addresses multiple vulnerabilities identified in the latest Wear OS security patch, making the device more secure against potential exploits. While Samsung has not provided a detailed changelog, users can expect smoother system performance and enhanced protection.

The update is currently rolling out to users in South Korea and is expected to expand globally in the coming days. Galaxy Watch 8 & Watch 8 Classic users in the Galaxy Wearable app can manually check for the update by navigating to:
Settings → Software Update → Download and Install
Samsung is also expected to release the February 2026 security patch for the Galaxy Watch 8 LTE variant, as well as the older Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 7 models, in the coming weeks.
