According to a new source, Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S27 Pro smartphone next year, along with the regular Galaxy S27, S27+, and S27 Ultra. It will be the second high-end model after the Ultra series and better than the S27 Plus variant. After the discontinuation of the Galaxy S26 Edge, new rumors suggest that instead of an Edge model, Samsung may introduce a better variant, and that could be the S27 Pro.
In 2024, there were rumors confidently suggesting a Pro variant alongside the Galaxy S25 series, but Samsung only launched the Galaxy S25 Edge. Now, due to the low sales of the Edge model, Samsung is looking for a better alternative. Since the launch of the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung has followed a three-phone formula, and now it could move to four phones – regular, Plus, Pro, and Ultra.

Until the iPhone 16 series, Apple followed a similar formula, but this year it has canceled the Plus variant. On the other hand, Samsung reportedly plans to add one more device to its flagship lineup. The rumor further suggests that the new Pro model will include most of the Ultra features, such as a privacy display, better camera sensors, and exclusive functions, but it may not include S Pen support.
