Samsung has started rolling out the April 2026 security update to more Galaxy devices, and this time it covers both the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy S24 series, including their FE models. The latest update is now available for all these devices in South Korea. The firmware version for the Galaxy S23 series is S918NKSS7EZCI, and it is 436MB in size. The Galaxy S24 series has received firmware version that starts with S928NKSS4CZCH, and it is nearly 450MB in size.
Galaxy S23 & Galaxy S24 April 2026 Security Update
This new version comes shortly after Samsung pushed the same April 2026 patch to the Galaxy S25 series, followed by the broader availability on the Galaxy S26 lineup. With this, Samsung is now steadily covering its major flagship devices with the latest security update, including Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7.
Samsung has already detailed what’s included in the April 2026 security patch. According to the official information, the update brings a total of 47 security fixes aimed at improving system stability and protecting devices from potential vulnerabilities. It’s worth noting that this update is still based on One UI 8.0, which runs on Android 16. This means it is primarily a security-focused update and does not bring any major new features.
One UI 8.5 Beta Release Date
At the same time, Samsung is actively preparing for its next phase of software testing. The One UI 8.5 Beta program is already live for the Galaxy S24 series, and the company is expected to expand the beta to the Galaxy S23 lineup soon. The expansion could happen later this month, although Samsung has not confirmed an exact timeline yet.
Interestingly, the April 2026 update appears to set the stage for this upcoming beta rollout. By ensuring devices are updated with the latest security patches, Samsung is preparing a stable base for users who plan to join the One UI 8.5 Beta program. However, if you are already enrolled in the Galaxy S24 One UI 8.5 Beta, this update may not be relevant for your device, as beta users typically follow a different update track.
