Samsung has acknowledged a camera-related issue on the Galaxy S22 Ultra and confirmed that a fix is coming in a future April 2026 software update. A user recently reported a problem on Samsung Community regarding Pro Video mode. According to the complaint, when recording videos, touching the rear microphone area introduces unwanted noise in the footage.
In the February 2026 update, Samsung broke the device and created a boot-loop issue on the S22 Ultra, which affected thousands of users. Now, it looks like users are facing a new issue with the camera. This behavior is especially problematic for users who rely on Pro Video mode for more advanced recording. Many users use this mode to get the best quality footage from the device, so it is problematic for them.
Galaxy S22 Ultra Camera Pro Mode Issue
Initially, it seemed like a hardware-related limitation, as microphones naturally pick up vibrations and surrounding noise. However, Samsung’s Camera Manager has now clarified that improvements are on the way and will be delivered in the next update, which is the April 2026 security update.
In the official response, the Camera Manager stated that the company plans to deliver improvements through a future software update. Users are also advised to keep their devices updated to the latest version to receive the fix once it becomes available.

Looks like in April the company is working on major fixes, including issues on Galaxy S26 Ultra, where it will fix screen flickering, 3x camera zoom, and document scan features. While the exact changes were not detailed, the update could include better noise filtering or improved handling of unintended touch input during recording.
When will the Camera Pro Mode Issue be fixed?
For a flagship device like the Galaxy S22 Ultra, users expect stable performance across all camera modes, including Pro Video. Issues like this, even if minor, can impact content creators and regular users alike. Samsung has not shared a timeline for the update yet, but since the issue has been officially acknowledged, a fix should arrive in the next few days or weeks.
