Samsung has confirmed that it will not charge any fees for its Galaxy AI functions. The topic has been in debate since the launch of these AI tools, and finally, Samsung has decided to end it. The company has given a statement to the news media site Android Police and clarified that all the Galaxy AI tools will be free for life. Some tipsters in the past have rumored that not all the features will be free and the company could charge extra money to use some of them; now that debate has also ended.
Also note that when Samsung said it would not charge anything for AI tools, it means it has developed AI tools and not by its partner companies. The tools that have been developed by Samsung, like Audio Eraser, Writing Assist, Note Assist, Live Translation, Slow-mo Video, Generative Wallpapers, Object Eraser, Now Brief, Now Bar, and more, will be free of cost.
In partnered companies, we can see features like Circle to Search, Gemini Live, and Gemini Advanced are developed by Google, so it is all in Google’s hands to charge them or let them go free. For Gemini Advanced, Google already has a subscription plan, and it could add more to its paid plan.
