Galaxy S25 Ultra One UI 8.5 Update Delayed

Samsung may delay the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series, as new reports suggest two more beta builds are coming this month. This could push the final release to late April or even May. It has been more than four months, and Galaxy S25 users are still running One UI 8.5 beta software. Samsung has recently released the 8th One UI 8.5 beta version for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra smartphones, but it could add 9th and 10th beta versions later this month.

Samsung May Release 9th and 10th Beta Updates

According to tipster Tarun Vats (via X), Samsung may release two more beta updates before the stable rollout for the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung has not officially confirmed this timeline. The tipster has also shared a timeline for when users can expect the next beta updates. The One UI 8.5 9th beta build is expected to be released on April 9, and the 10th beta is probably going to be released on April 20.

The release of the next two beta updates indicates that Samsung has postponed the stable release date further, which could now be at the end of April or early May. Furthermore, if this becomes a reality, other smartphones like the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, Fold 7, and other devices will also face delays in receiving the stable update. The previous One UI 8.5 release date was in mid-April, but now it may face another delay.

User Reactions to One UI 8.5 Delay

Users on social media platforms like Twitter, Reddit, and Samsung Community are not happy with this. They are already criticizing Samsung for locking some new features to the Galaxy S26 series.

Galaxy Users React to Feature Restrictions

Recently, Samsung’s decision to lock Call Screening, 24MP mode, and other features to its newest phones has outraged users. Galaxy Updates first reported that Call Screening and other features would not come to previous Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and this has now been confirmed by a moderator.

The dissatisfaction of users can be seen on almost every post on Samsung Community South Korea pages. A wave of new complaint posts has appeared across all forum categories.

Samsung Yet to Officially Confirm Delay

Samsung has yet to speak on this matter. The Call Manager and Camera Manager at Samsung Community South Korea have only confirmed the new Galaxy AI features and their support. None of Samsung’s official spokesperson has clarified or denied the situation.
