Expert RAW Update Brings Virtual Reflector & Underwater Mode to Galaxy Devices

New Expert RAW Update

Samsung is now releasing a new 5.0.08.2 app update for its Expert RAW camera tool, bringing two major features to the Galaxy S25 series and other Galaxy devices. The latest version focuses on improving photography in challenging lighting conditions and specialized environments like underwater photography, making the app even more useful for Galaxy S25 users. The new expert RAW app version is 455MB in size and is now available to install from Galaxy Store.

Exclusive Virtual Reflector Feature for Galaxy S25 Models

According to the update details, the new version introduces Virtual Reflector, which was introduced with Galaxy S26 Ultra, now available for the Galaxy S25 series, a feature designed to simulate studio-style lighting. This helps fill in dark shadows and improve overall lighting balance in photos. With this enhancement, users can capture images with more natural brightness and professional-level quality, especially in low-light or uneven lighting situations.

New Expert RAW Update

However, the Virtual Reflector feature is currently limited to the Galaxy S25 model, and there are no details about the other Galaxy devices. Recently, many users have raised their concerned about the new functions missing for previous Galaxy devices. Samsung has officially confirmed to bring new Galaxy S26 features to older models, so users may wait to see whether Virtual Reflector comes to Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Flip 7, Galaxy S24 Ultra, and other devices.

New Underwater Mode for Supported Galaxy Devices

Another key addition is the Underwater Mode or Ocean Mode. As the name suggests, this feature is optimized for waterside and underwater photography. It works by correcting common issues such as image distortion and light loss, which typically occur when shooting underwater. Along with fixing these problems, the mode also enhances colors, sharpness, and fine details, resulting in clearer and more vibrant images.

This makes it particularly useful for users who frequently capture photos near pools, beaches, or while using waterproof cases. The feature is available for all the supported Galaxy devices, so users should check it.

The update comes with a file size of around 455MB, indicating that it includes substantial improvements and processing enhancements. While the app listing currently shows no ratings, the new features highlight Samsung’s continued effort to refine its pro-grade camera experience.

Galaxy S25 & other Galaxy users are advised to update the app through the Galaxy Store to access these new features. The new app version for Expert RAW is available in the Galaxy Store.
