Galaxy S27 Ultra Leak Reveals Major Chip & RAM Upgrade

Galaxy S27 Ultra Processor & RAM

Samsung will reportedly launch the Galaxy S27 Ultra with Qualcomm’s exclusive Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor and faster LPDDR6 RAM. The early report comes from tipster Ronald Quandt, who claims these two major features for the Ultra model. This theory challenges another claim suggesting Samsung could adopt its own Exynos processor for the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

Galaxy S27 Ultra to Run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro Processor

The leaker further mentions in the BlueSky post that Qualcomm may introduce two powerful chipsets this year – Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The first one is for other variants, while the Pro chip will be specially made for the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

This decision would strengthen the partnership between the two companies, which has consistently resulted in special or Galaxy-exclusive chips every year.

New LPDDR6 RAM for Galaxy S27 Ultra

Apart from that, Samsung may introduce next-generation LPDDR6 RAM in the Galaxy S27 Ultra, which will further boost the device’s performance. Since the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung has been using LPDDR5X RAM in all its flagship models, so from next year, it may plan to discontinue it in favor of improved memory technology.

The new-generation RAM in the Ultra variant will provide better multitasking, faster speed, quicker app opening, lower power consumption, and a more seamless user experience. Next year, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S27 Ultra in January or February 2027 with One UI 9 or One UI 9.5.

Samsung has just launched the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and there is still a full year left until the S27 Ultra’s release. For now, this leak should be taken with a grain of salt until more concrete information becomes available.
