Samsung Is Finally Fixing This Galaxy S26 Ultra Problem

Galaxy S26 Document Scan Feature

Samsung is preparing a fix for a major issue affecting the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s document scan feature, after users reported poor image quality even at high resolution. The update will enhance scanning quality, allowing users to capture more detailed and clearer documents. Users on social media and the Samsung Community forum had complained about poor image quality after scanning documents or images.

Samsung has now acknowledged the issue and confirmed that it will fix it in the next firmware update for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It has confirmed the issue through its official Samsung Community forum in South Korea.

Users reported that even when set to high resolution, the final results were not satisfactory. Following these complaints, the Camera Manager on Samsung Community South Korea collected samples from users and confirmed the issue in multi-scan mode.

Galaxy S26 Document Scan Feature

Here is the official response from the Samsung Camera Manager regarding the low-quality issue in the document scan feature:

“Regarding the document scanning quality you inquired about, after checking the log you sent via the error report on March 16 with the relevant department, it has been confirmed that image quality degradation occurred when entering multi-scan mode.

We plan to provide improved image quality through the next software update, and it has been confirmed that this was announced via a 1:1 inquiry response on March 24.”

The next software update for the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be the April 2026 security patch. With the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung has introduced more features to Document Scan, including Multi-Scan, crease correction, object removal, such as fingerprints, and multiple filters.

The feature will also come to the Galaxy S25 series and other supported devices with the One UI 8.5 update, as confirmed by Samsung.
