After the One UI 8.5 software for Galaxy devices, Samsung is now heavily working on the next major One UI 9 update. In an early leak, the company started One UI 9 firmware development for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It also revealed some key changes and the new Tap to Share feature.
Now, a fresh round of leaks reveals Samsung is testing some new features on the One UI 9 firmware version. According to the new leak by Galaxy Techie on X, the next version may get a new AI Agent, more video FPS selections, and an improved Tap to Share feature.
One UI 9 Tap to Share Feature

First, let’s start with the Tap to Share function. The previous report suggested the feature would debut for Galaxy devices, and now Samsung has updated its information page. The page gives guidance to users on how to use and share their content with other Galaxy devices with a simple tap.
Next Feature is AI Agent & Bixby History
With the next firmware, there may be a new AI Agent option in the Security and Privacy section to show all the activities of AI tools, including Bixby. As the name suggests, it may show users’ conversations with the AI agent, so users can find their previous chats. It is similar to AI sites and apps on devices, where users can track their previous history.
New Video FPS Mode Options

The next One UI 9 software may also allow users to select more video FPS options. While shooting videos, users can choose more FPS options from 24 FPS to 120 FPS to capture footage based on their needs. According to the shared image, in FHD mode, users can select 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, 60, 100, and 120 FPS modes.
One UI 9.0 Beta Release Date
Based on previous Samsung schedules, One UI 9 could arrive in July, though Samsung has not confirmed it. Before that, Samsung could conduct the One UI 9 Beta for the Galaxy S26 series and other eligible devices in May.
In the last few weeks, leaked data shows Samsung has made decent improvements to the next major software update. You can follow Galaxy Updates to get more news regarding the One UI 9 update for your device.
