Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Firmware Leak Reveals New Bluetooth Variant

Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Bluetooth Model

Samsung may finally make the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 more affordable. A new firmware leak suggests the premium smartwatch could launch in a Bluetooth-only version for the first time, along with the LTE/5G variant. According to the source Aptivi, the new firmware spotted for the Bluetooth-only model is L710XXU0AZDB, while the LTE/5G model has been spotted with L715NKOU0AZDB.

LTE/5G Version Also Appears

The spotted firmware reveals that the Bluetooth-only variant has a build number for the European region, so users there may see both variants. The other firmware for LTE/5G has been spotted in South Korea. A previous report had mentioned Samsung would only introduce the 5G variant in the US, but the new firmware for South Korea reveals that other countries may also receive it.

These are early reports, so in the next few weeks, we could see firmware developments for other regions. The previous Galaxy Watch Ultra and the revised 2025 model only launched with the LTE variant. The new version will target users who want the Ultra model but don’t want to spend more on the LTE variant.

The Watch Ultra series is more advanced than the regular models and rivals the Garmin Fenix and Apple Watch Ultra series watches. Further, it comes with some exclusive health and fitness features aimed at athletes and pro users.

Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite Chip

Another rumor claims that Samsung, for the first time, will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite chip on the Watch Ultra 2. The Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch 9 Pro/Classic may run on the Exynos chipset with improved performance.

Samsung could launch the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, where it will share the stage with the Galaxy Watch 9 family smartwatches. At the same event, we could also see the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and another rumored Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide device. Samsung’s next Unpacked event could be one of its biggest launches yet, with new foldables and three smartwatch models expected.
