Samsung has finally tested its exclusive Galaxy S26 series features on older models. The latest build spotted for the Galaxy S24 Ultra shows features from its upcoming flagship lineup in the latest One UI 8.5 build. The company has added the Call Screening feature, originally introduced with the Galaxy S26 series, in the newest One UI 8.5 Stable Test Build S928BXXU5DZD9. Along with this, Samsung has also included Photo Assist and Creative Studio tools, bringing more AI-powered capabilities to supported Galaxy devices.
Recently, there was outrage among Samsung users over capping new Galaxy AI features to previous Galaxy devices, first reported by Galaxy Updates. Later, due to user pressure, Samsung clarified that it would bring those features to older models, and Call Screening is one of them.
Galaxy S24 Ultra will get the Call Screening Feature

The Call Screening feature is one of the biggest highlights of this update. It is designed to help users deal with unknown or spam calls more efficiently. When enabled, the feature can automatically screen incoming calls, allowing users to see who is calling and why before answering, which is useful for avoiding spam calls.
Photo Assist & Creative Studio Features for Galaxy S24 Ultra
Another major feature in the stable One UI 8.5 is Photo Assist, which is also borrowed from the Galaxy S26 series. This feature uses AI to improve photos with smart suggestions, including object adjustments, background enhancements, and automatic corrections.

Samsung has also introduced Creative Studio, a new tool focused on content creation. With Creative Studio, users can generate and edit images using AI-powered features. It offers various options to customize visuals, making it useful for social media creators and regular users alike.
Sadly, there are some features that might not come to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Virtual Reflector feature has been added to the Galaxy S25 Ultra via the Expert RAW app, but not for the S24 Ultra. However, the new Ocean Mode feature has been added to the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Fold 7, which will help users capture better photos underwater.
The new features are currently available in the One UI 8.5 Stable Test Build S928BXXU5DZD9, which suggests that Samsung is preparing them for a wider rollout in the near future. Samsung could start delivering a stable version by the end of this month for the Galaxy S25 series, and then it will gradually reach other devices.
