Galaxy S26 May 2026 Security Update
The new May 2026 rollout comes shortly after Samsung expanded the One UI 9 beta firmware to the Galaxy S26 series in supported countries. The latest security patch fixes dozens of vulnerabilities affecting Android and One UI software. According to Samsung’s official security bulletin, it addresses 39 security issues, including two critical vulnerabilities and several high-risk exposures that could potentially affect Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy S26 series is not the first device to get the latest May update. Mid-range devices like the Galaxy A54, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A56 received it before the flagship lineup. Now, along with the Galaxy A57 & Galaxy S23 series, Samsung has started rolling it out to newer flagship devices as well. This suggests that, over the next few days or within a week, the update could expand to more Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The Galaxy S26 users in Europe can now check for the new update. Users can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Beta users may receive the latest security patch with the next One UI beta update.
