Stable One UI 8.5 Update for Galaxy S24 Series Rolling Out in the US & Europe

Galaxy S24 Stable One UI 8.5 Update

Samsung has now started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S24 series in more regions, including the US and Europe, after initially releasing it in South Korea earlier this week. The latest firmware version, S928BXXU5DZDP, is now rolling out for the device with a 527MB file size for beta users.

The update is currently available for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the Galaxy S24 FE may join soon in these regions. Users in several European countries and carrier-locked models in the United States have already started receiving the stable build through the OTA channel.

A new screenshot shared by a Galaxy S24 Ultra user confirms that the stable One UI 8.5 update is now live for the European EUX variant. Further, users on Verizon and T-Mobile in the US have also confirmed the rollout in the country.

Galaxy S24 Series Detailed Changelog

Firmware Version: S92*BXXU5DZDP
Update Size: ~527MB
Security Level: April 5, 2026
OS: One UI 8.5
Changes: One UI 8.5 features, improved security
Region: The US, UK & Germany (expanding soon)

In the new stable version, Samsung has pushed some major functions to the S24 series. The main highlight of the software is the Share with Apple Devices feature. Using Quick Share, users can now share content with Apple devices. Further, the company has also added Photo Assist. Call Screening has also come to these Galaxy S24 devices in the latest version.

This rollout comes shortly after Samsung pushed the stable One UI 8.5 update to the Galaxy S25 series. Now, the company is rapidly expanding the update to older flagship devices ahead of a wider rollout to foldables and FE models.

For users in the United States, the update first appeared on some carrier-locked variants like Verizon and T-Mobile. More carrier and unlocked models are expected to receive the update over the next few days.

The latest version is still running on the older April 2026 security patch. Samsung could have included the newer patch, but users may need to wait a few more days for the May 2026 patch, which has already been released for mid-range Galaxy A54, A55, and A56 devices.

To install the new One UI 8.5 update, users should head to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Since Samsung is releasing the update in phases, availability may vary depending on region, carrier, and device model. However, the latest rollout strongly suggests that Samsung has now officially started the global expansion of stable One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S24 series.
