Stable One UI 8.5 May Reach More Galaxy Devices This Week

Stable One UI 8.5 Update

Samsung is preparing to expand the stable One UI 8.5 update to more Galaxy devices this week. The company has already started rolling out the Android 16-based update for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the US, and now more devices are expected to join the rollout.

Galaxy S23 Series One UI 8.5 Update

The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, and Galaxy S23 FE could receive the stable One UI 8.5 update in South Korea this week. Samsung usually starts the rollout in Korea first before expanding it to more regions.

Galaxy Foldables Will Also Join

Stable One UI 8.5 Update

Samsung may also release the stable update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in South Korea during the same rollout phase. The Galaxy Tab S11 series is also expected to receive the update soon in Samsung’s home market.

For global users, Samsung is continuing to expand the stable One UI 8.5 rollout for the Galaxy S24 lineup, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. At the moment, the update is available for some carrier-locked variants in the US, while unlocked models and additional countries are still waiting.

Stable One UI 8.5 for Galaxy A Series

The Galaxy A56 & Galaxy A36 may also join the stable rollout soon. While Samsung has not officially confirmed the timeline yet, both devices are expected to receive the update earlier than many older Galaxy A models.

Stable One UI 8.5 Features

One UI 8.5 brings plenty of new features to Galaxy devices, though not all of them will be available on every model. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Tab S11 series may receive almost all features, while other devices could miss some of them. Also, Samsung will not release exclusive Galaxy S26 features like Horizontal Lock, 24MP mode, and Ocean Mode to older models.

As usual, Samsung is releasing the update one by one, so availability may vary by region, carrier, and device model. Users can manually check for the update from Settings > Software update > Download and install.
