Indian users can now install the latest April 2026 security update on their Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 smartphones. The new firmware version, which starts with A566EXXSABZD3, is now rolling out for the Galaxy A56 with a 362MB file size. The Galaxy A36 has received firmware version A536EXXSLGZD1 with a 345MB file size. Further, the new update is for A36 non-beta users, as beta users have already received it in the first One UI 8.5 beta version.
Galaxy A36 & A56 April 2026 Update
Yesterday, Samsung covered its new Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 devices with the same April patch. Now, the company has turned to its star-performing devices of 2025: the Galaxy A36 and A56. According to the changelog, the new version brings improved security and fixes known bugs. Samsung has also advised that due to security policy, once users upgrade to the newer version, they cannot downgrade to the older one.

One UI 8.5 Update for Galaxy A36 & A56
The April 2026 security patch is based on One UI 8.0, while users of Galaxy A36 who enrolled in the beta testing program are running One UI 8.5. Non-beta users will receive the One UI 8.5 software once Samsung completes beta testing or if there are no bugs in the code. The stable rollout is expected to start in May for most Galaxy devices, including Galaxy A series phones. The beta for Galaxy A56 has not yet been released, though it is expected to open next week.
Indian users can download the new version on the Galaxy A36 or Galaxy A56 by going to Settings. Check for the new firmware and install it. Users in other regions may receive the April patch in the next few days.
