Samsung has begun rolling out a new firmware update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 & Fold 5 smartphones in South Korea. The update brings the latest Android security enhancements along with general system optimizations. The firmware version F731NKSS6FZB2 is rolling out for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in a nearly 430MB file. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 receives version F946NKSS6FZB2 in a nearly 450MB file.
What’s New in Firmware
The new firmware includes the February 2026 security patch, which fixes multiple security vulnerabilities. According to the official information, it has taken care of 37 vulnerabilities from the previous month’s code. Of the reported vulnerabilities, 25 were addressed by Google and 12 by Samsung. It notes that the update improves system stability and strengthens device security.

This week, Samsung officially unveiled the One UI 8.5 software version for the Galaxy S26 series, and it will be delivered to other devices starting in March. Both of these devices are also on the eligible list to receive the major update, so the next update could be significant for them.
How to Download
As usual, the rollout is happening in phases, and the home country is first in line, so availability may vary depending on the carrier and region. Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 users can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install on their devices.
