The Galaxy Watch 5 & Watch 5 Pro are now receiving a new February 2026 firmware update that brings the latest security patch along with stabilization code and strengthened security policies. The new version code R920XXU2DZB6 has been applied to the watches in a 284MB file package.
Galaxy Watch 5 February Update
Samsung hasn’t declared any new features in the firmware, though it is expected to solve notification delay and battery drain issues. In the January patch, many users complained about notification and battery issues with the Galaxy Watch 4 & Watch 5 series. After the new February security patch, all of these may be fixed.

Also, to match the UI of the One UI 8.5 version, Samsung has polished the Galaxy Wearable app. It looks fresh and gives the vibe of a new app version. To get the most out of the Galaxy Wearable and Galaxy Watch 5 Plugin apps, you should install the newer app version.
