Samsung One UI 9 Early Leak Reveals New Design & Features

One UI 9 Features Leaked

The leaked Samsung One UI 9 version has surfaced online, showing Samsung’s effort to shift the overall UI design of its next major software. The internal test firmware has leaked for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, revealing some key changes in the new version. Yesterday, the first firmware build was spotted for the S26 Ultra, and now more details have emerged.

One UI 9 New UI Changes

The newly surfaced leak suggests it will bring a revamped UI design to give it a new and fresh look. A new 9-second video shared by a tipster on Twitter shows Samsung adding a glass-like visual animation to the media player. Further, the audio visualizer will change its shape in real time according to the music.

One Ui 9 Update Features

Another report suggests Samsung plans to change the notification panel with the next version. The change is not that significant, but it is an early version, so we should wait for the final release. Samsung Browser, formerly Samsung Internet Browser, is also set to receive some important features to compete with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox on Android smartphones.

Multi-Window Support for Samsung Browser

With the One UI 9 firmware, Samsung Browser will receive one of the most important features: multi-window support. It will be able to open multiple windows, so users won’t have to close a previous window to access a new one. On tablets and foldable phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, windows will open side by side, while on phones like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, they will open over one another.

One UI 9 Beta Update

Samsung is currently planning to distribute the One UI 8.5 version to all supported Galaxy devices. After that, it may open the first beta testing program for One UI 9 in May, with the launch expected at the next Galaxy Unpacked event.

One UI 9 Release Date

The One UI 9 release date is expected in the second half of this year, with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, and Wide Fold expected to get the first stable version. To get the latest news, leaks, and software features, follow our dedicated page for the One UI 9 update.
