Samsung is now working on the April 2026 firmware update for the Galaxy S26 series. The first sign of the Galaxy S26 April 2026 firmware build has been spotted on Samsung’s internal test server, confirming the next monthly patch. The firmware spotted on the internal database server is S942BXXS1AZCH, and it is assigned to the regular Galaxy S26 smartphone.
Galaxy S26 April 2026 Update
Earlier this month, the Galaxy S26 Ultra was first discovered with the March security patch, but later Samsung released the February 2026 security patch for the devices. Now, the latest build suggests that Samsung could skip the March patch and move directly to the April 2026 security patch.
In the March 2026 update, Samsung has promised to fix 65 vulnerabilities, including 8 critical security flaws in the code, though information about the April patch has yet to be announced.
April Security Update in March

This is not the first time Samsung has delivered an upcoming monthly patch earlier than expected. Many times, flagship Galaxy phones receive security patches in the last week of the current month, so there is a chance the Galaxy S26 series could receive it early.
When will it be released?
After the February patch, Samsung appears to be delaying regular updates across its devices, and so far in March, not a single Galaxy device, including the Galaxy S26, has received the March 2026 security update.
Galaxy S26 One UI 9 Update
This is not the only update Samsung is preparing for these phones. Recently, the test server has also revealed major One UI 9 software for the Galaxy S26 series, which indicates that preparation for the One UI 9 beta firmware is underway.
The beta testing program for the next One UI 9 version is expected to launch in May, and the Galaxy S26 series is likely to be included. The stable version is expected to be released with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and later rolled out to other Galaxy devices.
