Galaxy S26 Ultra AirDrop Support

Samsung has started rolling out AirDrop support to the Galaxy S26 series via Quick Share in a new software update. The latest firmware version is S948NKSU1AZCF, and it is 857MB in size. In this new version, Samsung has introduced Apple AirDrop support, which enables cross-platform sharing between Samsung and Apple devices.

New features have been added to the Quick Share function on the Galaxy S26, S26+, & S26 Ultra. Users don’t have to install any new apps to share files. They can enable AirDrop sharing directly from Quick Share on their smartphones. Once enabled, users can send and receive files between Galaxy phones and Apple iPhones.

AirDrop Support for Other Galaxy Devices

The Galaxy S26 series will be the first to get AirDrop support. With future software updates, it will be added to more Galaxy devices. Cross-platform sharing is expected to arrive on the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Tab S11 series, and other compatible devices.

Galaxy S26 New Firmware Update

Apart from that, the changelog mentions bug fixes to enhance the security and privacy of the device. This is the second firmware update for the Galaxy S26 series following the February 2026 patch. In the first week of this month, Samsung had already released the February patch to address early bugs in the code.

How to Install the New Version

The new firmware version with AirDrop support will arrive in other regions in the coming days, including the US, India, and European countries. To check for the latest software on the Galaxy S26 series, open Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
