Galaxy S25 FE Lacks Expert RAW Support Despite Flagship Features

Expert RAW on Galaxy S25 FE

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE offers flagship-like features, but one major camera tool is still missing: Expert RAW. If you were planning to use advanced RAW photography tools, here’s what you need to know. The new Galaxy S25 FE comes with almost all the features in the new update. Samsung also claims it is the bridge between its flagship Galaxy S series and Galaxy A series phones, like the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy A57. It is somehow true that you can use most of the flagship-level features on the Galaxy S25 FE.

Further, it comes with almost all the camera features, including Camera Assistant, except Expert RAW.

Galaxy S25 FE Expert RAW Support

No, Samsung does not currently support Expert RAW on the Galaxy S25 FE. It is unavailable for Fan Edition phones like the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S24 FE, and now the Galaxy S25 FE. As per Samsung, the Fan Edition models lack some hardware parts required to use the tool, so don’t expect that. Now, with the S25 FE, hardware may not be the limitation, but the company still wants to lock it for its flagship models.

Expert RAW on Galaxy S25 FE

If you are looking for a Galaxy smartphone that gets full access to Expert RAW tools, you must choose any device in the flagship range, including the new Galaxy S26 or the older Galaxy S22.

Why Some Sources, Including AI, Say S25 FE has Expert RAW?

Further, if you ask AI tools, then they may tell you the Galaxy S25 FE comes with the app. This statement is false because most AI tools can’t distinguish between flagship devices and their FE models. They mix the Galaxy S25 series with the Galaxy S25 FE, but in reality, Samsung treats both of them differently.

Expert RAW Supported Galaxy Devices

Currently, it only works with these Galaxy devices:

  1. Galaxy S22 series

2. Galaxy S23 series

3. Galaxy S24 series

4. Galaxy S25 series

5. Galaxy S26 series

In the Galaxy Z series, it also supports the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. There are high expectations for the Galaxy S26 FE to receive this essential camera app. As per the rumors, Samsung will bring some advanced features to the next Fan Edition. It will probably run on an Exynos 2600 or Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 5 processor with 12GB of RAM, which could give the phone the necessary boost to run this camera function.

Will Galaxy S26 FE Get the Expert RAW App?

The Galaxy S25 FE is undoubtedly one of the finest smartphones. It comes with a better price and offers top-notch features. Users who don’t want a flagship model and don’t want to choose a mid-range device can get the Galaxy S25 FE. Further, there are plenty of new Galaxy AI features from various sections. Recently, the gadget received a One UI 8.5 beta update with the newest April security patch.
