Just after the release of the February 2026 security patch, Samsung has started testing the March 2026 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The new firmware builds have been spotted on Samsung’s test server, revealing the next security update for the foldable devices. The firmware number F966BXXS8AZC1 has been discovered for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and F766BXXS8AZC1 for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 for international variants.
In the discovered code, we can clearly see that the second-to-last letter ‘C’ has been assigned to the month, and the last number ‘1’ suggests that testing has just started. It indicates that users may have to wait for the One UI 8.5 software.

March 2026 Security Patch Improvements
Samsung has officially published the Android Security Bulletin for the March 2026 firmware, where it fixed 67 critical and high-level vulnerabilities from the previous code. We can expect those fixes to be included in the March 2026 update.
When will One UI 8.5 be released?
After the launch of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the company is working on a stable One UI 8.5 version for the Galaxy S25 series and other flagship models. The official roadmap has not been declared by Samsung, so we can expect the next major One UI version for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 in April.
