Samsung has started testing One UI 8.5 beta software for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7 in Europe & South Korea, indicating that beta testing for these foldables is underway. One month ago, in early February, the Samsung test server also indicated beta firmware for these devices, but it never rolled out. It now looks like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7 may have to undergo beta testing before receiving a stable One UI 8.5 version.
One UI 8.5 Beta Firmware Spotted
The latest firmware spotted on test servers is F966BXXU8ZZC4 for the Fold 7 and F766BXXU8ZZC4 for the Flip 7. The Galaxy S25 series is currently in beta testing and will receive the seventh beta version.

Firmware versions spotted:
- F966BXXU8ZZC4 – Galaxy Z Fold 7
- F766BXXU8ZZC4 – Galaxy Z Flip 7
Galaxy S25 Still in Beta Testing
This year, with the beta program, Samsung has been very slow with beta releases. After three months in the program, Galaxy S25 users are awaiting the final version, though they may need to test one more version. The Galaxy S26 is the only smartphone currently running on stable firmware.
More Galaxy Devices May Join Beta
Samsung may also expand a beta program for additional devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7. Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 could also join them.
How to Participate in the Beta Program
The users who want to participate in the program should look for the official banner in the Samsung Members app. When you sign up for the program, you will receive a download link to test the beta firmware on your smartphone.
Which Countries will be Eligible?
The beta testing program will kick off in South Korea, India, Germany, the US, and the UK. Following successful testing, Samsung will release a stable version of One UI 8.5 for these foldable devices.
