One UI 8.5 Beta Devices

Samsung is preparing to expand its One UI 8.5 Beta program to seven more Galaxy devices, including the first-ever Fan Edition phones and the Galaxy TriFold, according to leaked firmware builds spotted by tipster Tarun Vats. The new testing firmware in Samsung’s internal test server suggests Samsung will open the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6 & Z Flip 6, Tab S11 series, and, for the first time, the S24 FE & S25 FE will join the beta program.

Furthermore, Samsung’s first TriFold will also participate in the program in the US & South Korea, where it is currently available. After the Galaxy S25 family, last week the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7 were added to beta testing, and next week they are expected to receive the next beta version.

If these builds come true, then the Galaxy S24 FE and S25 FE will become the first Fan Edition models to get a beta version. Samsung has never added any FE devices to the program before, so users now have a chance to test early versions.

The Galaxy TriFold debuted this year in limited quantities in the US & South Korea, and it will also join the program. Samsung may want to test the new version on the TriFold to analyze its software performance, which could be applied to future TriFold models.

Stable One UI 8.5 release date

The Galaxy S26 series is currently the only lineup running a stable One UI 8.5 version. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25, Fold 7 & Flip 7 are in the beta testing phase. Rumors also suggest one more beta version for the Galaxy S25, so the stable version is expected to be released in April. It will first roll out to these beta testing devices, followed by other supported Galaxy devices.

How to join the beta program

The beta testing program for these newly spotted devices may also launch in eligible countries, including India, the US, South Korea, the UK, Germany, and Poland. To join the beta program and download the beta firmware on your smartphone, you need to visit the Samsung Members app and sign up.
