Samsung is now releasing the February 2026 security update for the Galaxy A53 smartphone in South Korea, making it the first Galaxy A-series smartphone to get the newest monthly patch. The new firmware version is A536NKSSFGZB2 and has a nearly 350MB file size.
The update has already rolled out for the Galaxy S25, Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 6, and Galaxy S24 series, and is now being released for more supported devices. The Galaxy A53 remains one of Samsung’s most popular mid-range smartphones, particularly in markets like India, where timely software updates are highly valued.
Galaxy A53 February Update
The latest firmware focuses on improving device security and overall system stability. Along with app optimization and bug fixes, Samsung has squashed 37 vulnerabilities from the previous January code. Users can expect a better UI experience, smoother animations, and improved privacy with the new patch.

The rollout is currently available in South Korea and will slowly expand to other regions. Galaxy A53 users can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Eligible for One UI 8.5 Update
The Galaxy A53 is also eligible to receive the major One UI 8.5 update. For flagship models starting from the Galaxy S25 series, it is expected to be released in March, and later, all Galaxy A series models, including Galaxy A36 & A56, will receive it.
