As Samsung promised, it is now releasing the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Flip 6 devices. It has now started in South Korea, and more countries will receive it soon. Today, Samsung also released the stable version for the Galaxy S25 series, Fold 7, and Flip 7 in more countries, and two of the latest foldable phones have now joined the rollout. Users who participated in the beta testing program can now download it, while non-beta users will also get it shortly.
What’s New in the Stable One UI 8.5 Update
The latest firmware version, F956NKSU9BZDP, has been released for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with a file size of over 600MB. The new version includes features that were introduced with the Galaxy S26 series. The foldable devices now get a call screening function, which lets users avoid spam calls and block them. Further, the document scanner now allows users to save documents on the phone, and it also supports multi-page scanning.

The Photo Assist, Creative Studio, and Audio Eraser features have also successfully landed on the foldable devices, though some features are still missing. Like the Galaxy S25 series, Horizontal Lock, Now Nudge, and 24MP mode are not part of this One UI 8.5 version. Some tipsters claim these features could be added in the next One UI 9 software, but for now, nothing is confirmed.
Users can now install the stable One UI 8.5 update on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Flip 6 via Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. It will soon be released in other major countries within the next 4 to 7 days.
