Galaxy A57 Lacks This Powerful Camera Feature

Expert RAW App on Galaxy A57

If you were hoping to use Expert RAW on the Galaxy A57, there’s some disappointing news: Samsung has exclusively locked it to its flagship smartphones. Galaxy A series models, including the new Galaxy A57, along with Samsung’s Fan Edition smartphones, are excluded from Expert RAW support. This year, Samsung has upgraded its design and also added some new Galaxy AI features, but Expert RAW support is still missing.

Does Galaxy A57 Support Expert RAW?

There is little chance that the Galaxy A57 smartphone will get this advanced camera tool. According to Samsung, it is only supported on flagship and foldable phones, including the Galaxy S21 Ultra and newer models, and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and newer devices. It does not support any mid-range smartphones, Galaxy Fan Edition devices, or Galaxy tablets.

It is even missing on the new Galaxy S25 FE, which has an Exynos 2400 processor, and the official team has confirmed that the Galaxy S25 FE will never get this dedicated camera app. However, nothing has been confirmed about the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE model.

Why Expert RAW Is Not Available on Galaxy A57

As per the spec sheet, the mid-range device only gets Camera Assistant and the Galaxy X app. You can use both tools, but not Expert RAW. Samsung stated that it requires more powerful processing power and RAM to run this kind of app, and the Galaxy A57’s chipset is not sufficient. If you need better camera options, consider other apps in the Play Store. With a wide range of features available, you will find plenty of options in third-party camera apps.

The new Galaxy A57 comes with the 4nm Exynos 1680 chipset, an ARM Cortex-A720 CPU, and 12GB of RAM; however, it is still not enough to support Samsung’s advanced camera tools. After the discontinuation of the Galaxy A74, the Galaxy A57 has become the most advanced mid-range Samsung phone, but it does not change this limitation.

Users can expect that the next Galaxy S26 FE could get the Expert RAW app and fill the gap between flagship and high mid-range phones.
